The concept of Trash The
Dress first originated some years ago. Popularity grew and the
idea is now widespread. Wedding dresses are usually packaged to
protect them and put away for safe keeping, never to be enjoyed
again. Most dresses used in these sessions are not completely
destroyed, however some are. It all depends on your comfort
level and the willingness to express yourself creatively. We
have no problem ruining a dress, but the decision is ultimately
yours. The whole idea is to create striking images, not
traditional bridal portraits. A wedding gown placed outside of
its comfort zone is perfect for dramatic imaging. To quote the
Trash The
Dress website, "It's about creation, not
destruction". There are currently no other photographers
in this immediate area promoting such a concept. We are open to
new ideas and philosophies and are eager to express ourselves
with a little help from those of you who want to play along.
